Historic St. John's Church in Richmond is where Patrick Henry delivered
his famous "Give Me Liberty, Or Give Me Death" speech. The
church goes back to the 1600s!

The White House Of The Confederacy is where President Jefferson Davis
lived with his family during the Civil War.

Inside the "White House Of The Confederacy," this is the office of
President Jefferson Davis. I liked that gas "extension chord"
to light the desk lamp from the chandalier.

The Canal Walk by downtown Richmond is very peaceful. These
canals were an idea of President Washington to connect the coasts to
the interior part of the country.

Richmond is the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia, or Old Dominion which is the nickname of the state. The city was also the capital of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. President Jefferson Davis lived in the city when he was in charge of the CSA. There is a lot of history in Richmond going back to the colonial times.
