This lush foliage is characteristic of Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.

The entrance to Coligny Beach Park is so clean and elegant looking for a public beach.

3
Coligny Beach is the nicest public beach I have seen in the continental USA.

4
We rented an umbrella with two chairs from the Beach Butler who sets us these items daily on the beach!

5
I am wearing a rashguard, but the water was warm at 77'F.

6
Harbour Town has a light house on the south side of the island.

7
Harbour Town is on the privately held side of the island.  This view is from the light house at Harbour Town.

8
Hilton Head is known for great golf.  One can see the golf course in the distance from the light house.

One must have fresh seafood when visiting Hilton Head Island.  This poke salad made of yellowfin tuna at Fish Restaurant was amazing!

Hilton Head Island in Southern South Carolina is a luxury oceanside getaway for the East Coast elite.  This master planned island was so clean and relaxing.  I loved Coligny Beach, which is the nicest public beach that I have seen in the country.  Upon arrival at the beach, beach ambassadors handed us complimentary cold bottles of water and hand sanitizer.  Then, we walked to the beach through the clean walkway which had a water feature splash zone for kids, changing areas, very CLEAN restrooms, and swinging benches.  The beach area had beach butlers who rented out umbrellas and chairs which were set up already earlier in the day.

The water temperature was nice and warm, and the beach is pretty safe aside from occasional sharks which close the beach area.  One must get seafood for lunch or dinner when on visting this amazing summer getaway!
