Mt. Rainer (Washington)

Mt. Rainer can be seen in the distance in this picture.  There was a lot of smoke in the air from some forest fires that were burning in that area when I visited.

    Mt. Rainer is a mountain in Washington State with an elevation of 14,411 feet.  It is also considered a volcano.  I went to visit it one summer when there were lots of forest fires burning in Washington State so I could not get a good glimpse of the mountain.  One can sometimes view Mt. Rainer on approach to Sea-Tac Airport or when leaving the airport.
