San Martin Square in Lima is where the people can protest freely without government intervention.

This is a fountain in the Plaza de Armas in Lima.  Those wooden balconies are typical of the colonial architecture in Lima during the Spanish times.

Lima has a water magic show at night where images are projected onto high speed jets of water.

Barranco is a cool artsy area of Lima.  This is a library done in almost an art deco style.

The Gold Museum in Surco houses artifacts from thousands of years ago.  There are even mummies here.

    Lima is the capital city of Peru and located on the Pacific coastline of the South American nation.  Often referred to as the "City of Kings," Lima has many Spanish colonial architecture.  Colonial balconies are a famous trademark of the city.  These beautiful balconies were carved from wood usually.  The city has lots of different municipalities including Miraflores, Surco, and San Isidro.  There are numerous Catholic churches as well in the city.
