Dubrovnik is a very beautiful city.  Many cruise ships stop there.  The Adriatic Sea is off in the distance.

Dubrovnik should be on everyone's bucket list of places to see.  It is quite amazing.  Not only is there a natural scenic beauty due to the sea and all the islands off the coast, but there is the Old Town area which is a walled city from the Middle Ages.  Dubrovnik was once an indepedent city-state called Ragusa.  Inside the Old Town, there are lots of shops and restaurants now.
