June of 2002, I closed the largest deal in history of Gobeam, one of
companies. Gobeam provides a voice over broadband service for
telecommunications. In layman's terms, they install a
point-to-point T1 between their central office (server) and the
customer's premise, and they
provide both voice and data over this pipe. All of the software
the phones on site are coming in over this T1. As a result of my
Gobeam invited me as a guest to their dealer meeting at the exclusive
Resort and Spa in the Napa Valley. In this picture, I am holding
glass plaque that they presented me with to thank me for my hard work
closing this deal. Their CEO also gave me a awards check in front
of everyone at the dinner banquet as a reward for closing this deal.
$500+ a night resort was really nice. The 1-hour massage I got
at the spa was cool also. Their champagne breakfast in the
morning is also pretty delicious!
