I am standing outside the British Columbia Visitor Centre after
crossing into Canada from Washington State.
The Olympic Torch Statue/Fountain in Downtown Vancouver, British
Columbia
I am standing on the famous Capillano Suspension Bridge which is north
of Vancouver.
Vancouver is a really beautiful city. It is surrounded by
mountains, lush forests, and lots of waterways.
This is Canada Place. It is where the cruise ships dock when
visiting Vancouver.
This is BC Place, a stadium in downtown Vancouver.
Stanley Park was one of the nicest urban parks I have ever seen.
They had these cool totem poles also.
The Sun-Yat Sen Classical Chinese Gardens in Vancouver is a nice way to
spend an afternoon.
This is a view of the Whistler Village from the Blackcomb Mountain
Gondola.
They had a "Fire & Ice" show on Sunday nights in 2015 when we went
to Whistler. Trained skiers and snowboarders jump through hoops
of fire!
We drove up a little farther from Whistler and saw the Joffre Lakes
area in British Columbia also.

I
have been to Vancouver a few times. The first time, we explored
the Capiliano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver before touring the
downtown area. Vancouver is a really scenic area. The
second time I went to Vancouver, we toured Stanley Park as well as went
to Whistler. Whistler was the site of the alpine events for the
2010 Winter Olympic Games. The Whistler Village was alive and
kicking with all the skiiers and snowboaders. They have a lot of
nice restaurants and bars too for "apres ski" party.
