The old Mayan Ruins of Tulum are right on the Caribbean Sea near Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Tulum was really hot and humid when we went in August.


I am standing next to some of the other ruins near the main structure in Tulum.


I loved the beach in Tulum.  Unfortunately, we did not bring our swimming trunks with us to go in the water.


Playa Del Carmen has beautiful beaches with calm waters and soft sand.  The Senor Frogs is near the ferry terminal.

    Tulum is a Mayan ruin located on the coast of Mexico on the Caribbean side.  These pre-Colombian era structures were part of a walled city near one of the major ports in the Mayan times.  The main structure is one of the temples.  The beach just below the ruins are amazing!  Playa Del Carmen is just north of Tulum.  It is a nice beach town with calm warm waters.
