Saint
John, New Brunswick
The Carleton Martello Tower was built in the 1800s to stand watch over
the harbor in Saint John during the War of 1812.
Saint John was settled by British Loyalists who fled the US after the
Revolutionary War. The Loyalist Burial Ground in Uptown Saint
John is where many of them were laid to rest.
The Sky Walk in Saint John is built over the Reversing Falls where the
Saint John River flows into the Bay of Fundy.
During low tide, the river flows into the bay, and the water is very
rough and creates whirlpools.
During high tide, the water at the Reversing Falls flows back into the
Saint John River.
Saint John has lots of historic buildings including the Imperial
Theatre.
The Loyalist House from the 1800s is a good example of what the
colonial architecture was during the British rule of Canada.
The King's Square in Saint John is a large park which has monuments and
a large gazebo also.

Saint
John is the capital city in New Brunswick, an Atlantic Province of
Canada. New Brunswick is located on the Bay of Fundy which
empties into the Atlantic Ocean. The city was founded by British
Loyalists who fled the US after the Revolutionary War. I saw lots
of historic buildings from the 1800s that are still standing
today. The natural wonders include the Reversing Falls which is
when the Saint John River's water flow reverses direction depending on
high or low tide.
