Santa Barbara & Santa Ynez Wine Country

I found this throwback picture taken in 1993 when my brother and I visited Goleta Beach right by Santa Barbara.

Joy and I are pictured here in 2017 on the pier in Santa Barbara with the beautiful tall palm trees in the background.

Not too far from Santa Barbara is the Santa Ynez wine country.

We are doing some wine tasting here at Fess Parker's Winery.

The little town of Los Olivos is another great stop in the Santa Ynez Valley.

The Epiphany Wines Tasting Room has a nice outdoor area to relax.

The tasting room at Epiphany is a great stop in Los Olivos to try their wines.  Fess Parker owns this brand also.

Pea Soup Andersen's is a historic and famous stop for travellers right near the turn off to go to Solvang, a "Danish style" town.  They are known for their pea soup.

My little brother lived in Santa Barbara briefly after finishing his masters from UNLV.  Joy and I went down there to visit him and my future sister-in-law as well as some friends during the 4th of July weekend in 2017.  I have been to Santa Barbara many times before, but this time around, we got to do some wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley too.  They have a few good wineries including Fess Parker.  There is also a small town called Solvang around that area which is a replica of a Danish town.  It is worth a visit also.
