The Rio Grande Valley Of Texas is located in Southeastern Texas by the US-Mexico border. The Rio Grande River empties into the Gulf of Mexico in this area, and this area is home to the popular Spring Break destination, South Padre Island. South Padre Island is a long but narrow relaxing beach community. The Texas coast has lots of these long barrier islands which allow shallow bays to form on the other side. This shallow bay is home to dolphins and other marine life.
Moreover, there is lots of history in this area. The Mexican-American War started at the Palo Alto Battlefield near Brownsville. There is another battlefield from the Mexican-American War here. Also, there is a Civil War battlefield here too.
Boca Chica is one of the border between the US and Mexico where the Rio Grande empties into the Gulf of Mexico. There are lots of sandy beaches here where one can drive on the sand. SpaceX also has their launch pad and Starbase for the rocket launches too.
There is great Mexican food and seafood down in this area. Brownsville has lots of Mexican grocery stores too where one can find Mexican sodas and delicious baked goods. Of course, one can also get a great burger at Whataburger too!
