This is a beautiful sunset at Waikiki Beach in Honolulu.

Here is the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor.  Let us never forget what happened here nor forget the brave men who lost their lives on that day.

3
Iolani Palace is the only royal palace in the US.  This was home to Hawaii's last king.

4
The North Shore of Oahu features shrimp trucks like Giovanni's which is known for a tasty and quick bite to eat when exploring the town of Haleiwa.

5
Waimea Falls is accesible via a nice hike in the Waimea Valley.

6
Lanikai Beach is known for white sands and turquoise waters!

7
The Polynesian Cultural Center features villages that represent the many islands of Polynesia including New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, and Hawaii.

8
A visit to any Hawaiian island is not complete without a luau.  This one is at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

9
Hanauma Bay is a great place to snorkel!

Here are some fish I saw at Hanauma Bay.

The sunrise from Diamond Head is amazing.  My recommendation is to go early to avoid the heat if you want to hike to the top.

In 2020, I returned to the State of Hawaii, but this time I visited the island of Oahu with my wife.  We went all over the island, and we experienced the beauty of this tropical paradise.  We stayed in Waikiki, but we had a nice convertible to get out of the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and explore the untouched parts of the island as well as the North Shore known for the monster waves that surfers like.  In addition,we were able to snorkel in Hanauma Bay and see lots of cool fish.  Lanikai Beach was a nice place to relax and swim with the beautiful teal blue water.  We also went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and experienced the luau there.  The food was great on the island too, and I recommend going to Roy's.  We also went to Pearl Harbor and made our respects to the brave men and women who lost their lives during World War II.

My company sent me to Honolulu again in 2023 to attend the CHEST Pulmonology Conference.  I had a fun six days on the island during that trip, and I had plenty of free time to explore parts of the island that Joy and I missed.
