During Memorial Day
Weekend in 2013, I decided to go down to Southern California to visit
my friends. I flew to Las Vegas the weekend before for my
birthday so I figured Memorial Day would be a great time to see my
friends from So Cal again. We decided to go to Universal Studios
Hollywood on this visit since most of us have not been back there in
years! The last time I went was in the 1990s.
They had a new ride
that year which was the Transformers The Ride in 3D. That ride
was awesome. The Mummy Returns rollercoaster ride was fun
also. We were able to ride all the major rides, and we also did
the Back Lot tour which included a King Kong 3D show. The House
of Horrors was pretty scary! They had live people jump out at
you. The Shrek 4D ride was also pretty neat. A lot of the
rides had squirty water and bursts of air to give you that true 4D
experience.
We had lunch at the
Saddle Ranch Chop House in Universal City which is right outside the
park. The food was great!
