Tampa & Clearwater, Florida

 Tampa
This was me visiting Busch Gardens in Tampa back in 1997.

This is downtown Tampa when I visited in 2020.  The River Walk along the Hillsborough River is a great walk to explore the area.

The Ybor City area is a historic part of Tampa and home to this awesome Spanish restaurant that is over 115 years old!

T1
The Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City has Flamenco dancers on many nights of the week.

5
Ybor City is also home to the cigar makers in Tampa.

2
Clearwater has an amazing white sand beach.

3
Clearwater Beach has soft and beautiful sand with the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

This was a view of the sunset from our balcony at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort.

T8
Hooters originated in Clearwater, and although we passed the original location, we ended up going to the location at Clearwater Beach so I could watch a Cowboys game.

My fraternity had our national conference in Orlando during my sophomore year in college.  I decided to take a day trip to Tampa, Florida to go see Busch Gardens.  Here is a picture of me standing to the right of the elephant (see the symbolism?).  I am standing to the RIGHT of the Elephant.  LOL.  As State President of my fraternity, I worked hard to get our brothers involved in politics and to work hard for conservative causes.

Fast forward to 2020, my wife and I went to Tampa to get away from the crazy liberal state of California which had major Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions during the pandemic which started in Wuhan, China.  My wife and I tried to get away monthly from California so we could feel like humans again in states like Florida which had very little restrictions during the pandemic.  Masks were not required for the most part in Florida, and the restaurants and bars were operating indoors at 100% capacity.
