2015
was an interesting year for us. Jeff Bannister was in his first
year as our manager, and we struggled with lots of injuries from the
start. We lost our Ace Pitcher, Yu Darvish, who had Tommy John
Surgery. We also had a lot of our offensive stars on the DL for a
good portion of the season. However, Bannister was able to rally
the troops, and we came back strong after the All Star Break to contend
for the AL West Division Championship. The Astros were the
favorite going into the All Star Break, but we had overtaken
them. Also, we made some key trades that brought in Ace Pitcher
Cole Hamels from the Phillies. In September, I took a Thursday
off to go watch my Rangers play the A's in Oakland. We were going
for the sweep in this series. I made a last minute sign at the
hotel to show my support for the team. LOL. I think it got
the job done as the Rangers did SWEEP the lowest of the low A's.
Cole Hamels pitched that day. We crushed them A's by a score of 8
to 1.
