Our
next stop on the Alaska tour was Denali National Park. It is half
way between Anchorage and Fairbanks along the George Parks
Highway. Denali is so large many US States could fit inside
it. We took the 6 hour shuttle trip into the heart of
Denali. On the trip, we saw bears, elk, and many kinds of
birds. We also saw a dog sled demonstration. Denali is
covered in snow during winter and dog sleds are the primary way that
the park rangers get around. Denali also is home to Mt. McKinley,
the tallest peak in North America.
