I took Joy to Sun Valley, Idaho for a romantic getaway for Valentine's Weekend in 2016.  Sun Valley is an amazing ski resort.  We did cross country skiing as well as snowshoeing while we were there.  They have a wonderful staff who cater to one's needs, first rate facilities, and the guests are all of a higher class of people.  It is usually known as the third best ski resort in the US.
