The Rosario Islands are a chain of pristine islands off the coast of
Colombia in the Caribbean near Cartagena.
Drug Cartel leader Pablo Escobar even had an island retreat in the
Rosario Island chain. The water is super warm!
We stopped for lunch on our tour of the Rosario Islands on one of the
small islands. Cheers!
The small island we had lunch at even had small infinity pools to cool
off. Pablo Escobar's retreat was next to this place too.
I did not enjoy the snorkling in the Rosario Islands as much as other
Caribbean places.
Cholon is known as the party island where people drink and party in the
waist high water!
Cholon is a fun spot, but one should stay on their guard with all the
vendors and large crowds.
Baru has a great beach and lots of local restaurants where people can
relax on lounge chairs and listen to local music.
Baru is technically a peninsula, but it was so isolated people on got
there by boat until a bridge was built.
A lagoon near Baru has a lot of bioluminiscent plankton which glow in
the dark when one stirs up the water.
