The Kilauea Light House area is really scenic on the northern coast of Kauai.
The historic lighthouse was built in the early 1900s. It is no longer in operation today.
The northern coast of Kauai gets a lot of rainfall so it is very green!
Kauai is also known for having lots of wild chickens!
The sunrise over Wailua River State Park Beach is beautiful every morning!
Waimea Canyon is another beautiful area on the island. There are multple colors within this massive canyon.
Waimea Falls is inside Waimea Canyon.
The southern coast of Kauai has great beaches including this one near Poipu. However, the waves are strong!
The Koloa Rum Distillery has a tasting room at the Kilohana Plantation. Tous are free, but one has to pay $5 to reserve a spot online.
I am standing by sugar cane near the rum tasting room. Koloa uses raw cane sugar to make their rum instead of molasses.
The Kilohana Plantation has a cool train tour around the plantation also to see the plants and animals.
This is a Hawaiian Monk Seal that is resting on the beach near the Sheraton Kauai Resort's beach area where we stayed.
The best way to see Kauai is on an aerial tour via small plane or helicopter since the island does not have roads everywhere.
The Na'pali coast is very beautiful with the green sharp cliffs. One can only see it from the air or the ocean.
This is the famous Jurassic Park waterfall from the air.
The Smith's Family Luau has a great Polynesian show. I think it is the best one I have seen on all the islands so far.
The Wailua Bay area is really scenic, but the waves are strong too.
