The Delta King is a permanently anchored steamboat on the Sacramento River in Old Sacramento and is a hotel.

P2
The steamship features a nice restaurant called the Pilothouse.

P3
The events staff at the hotel created a custom menu for my celebration luncheon, but they kind of messed up on the title.  LOL.

P4
We had preselected appetizers for the first course.  This is the eggplant hummus served with warm pita.

P5
Some of the other appetizers included Spanish mushrooms, shrimp wonton tacos, and naan pizza.

My parents and brother are enjoying the first courses.

P8
I chose the salmon for my main course.

Our waitress took a group photo of us.

My wife ordered a champagne cake from the Freeport Bakery.

What is in the Tiffany bag?  My lovely wife got me a pair of the "bean" cufflinks by Elsa Peretti from Tiffany!

My wife and I are posing outside of the restaurant on the deck of the steamboat.

Here is a picture of some of Joy's relatives with my family.

P15
The railroad museum had a train that was leaving for a short tour when we were heading out.

The valet parked my Volvo S60 up front.  My brother was surprised that Sacramento is so crappy that a $42,000 luxury car is the best car to display up front by the valet.  LOL.

In August of 2019, I received a big promotion at my job.  After winning three national awards and receiving high ratings on my reviews in the last few years, I qualified for the promotion to Executive.  The Executive promotion is the highest level for my position as a therapeutic business specialist.  To celebrate my success, I wanted to host a luncheon for both my family and my wife's family.  So, I set up a luncheon at the Pilothouse Restaurant at the Delta King in Old Sacramento.  The Delta King is an old steamboat that was converted into a hotel.  The boat is permanently anchored onto the banks of Old Sacramento.

My brother even flew up from Las Vegas for this special day.  Moreover, my wife ordered a champagne cake from the Freeport Bakery, which is a gourmet bakery in the Sacramento area.  She also got me a nice pair of ruthenium Elsa Peretti cufflinks from Tiffany too as a gift for the big Executive Roy!  After arriving at the captain's table that was set up for our private event, we saw a custom menu that the staff created for us.  I preselected lots of nice appetizers including naan pizza, shrimp wonton tacos, eggplant hummus, and Spanish mushrooms.  For the entree selections, one could order salmon, shrimp louie, black bean burger, or udon chicken salad.  Dessert was the cake of course.  The cake was really delicious.  Our waitress had the kitchen keep the top of the cake for me to take home, and they sliced into the bottom of it and plated it with a little sauce on the bottom.  I was very impressed with the service of the staff.

We all enjoyed the views of the river from our table, and we also enjoyed walking around Old Sacramento after the lunch.  The railroad museum had a scenic train that was leaving as we were departing from the restaurant.  My brother was surprised that my $42,000 luxury sedan was the best car that the valet could keep displayed up front.  LOL.  He said there are no Ferraris here in Sacramento.  I told him Sacramento is kind of the armpit of civilization.  Just Kidding.  Well, maybe not.  That is why Joy and I leave Sacramento so much to go vacation in nicer areas.
