Medical Specialist Anirban Roy

I graduated from the University of California at Davis with majors in International Relations and Political Science.  My International Relations focus was on world trade and development, which had a heavy economic emphasis.  In addition to a rigorous academic program at UC Davis, I was exteremely involved in extra-curricular activities.  I am a founding father in my fraternity, Phi Beta Lambda.  Furthermore, I served as chapter president of my house for an unprecedented four years.  Moreover, I was instrumental for our admission into the Inter-Fraternity Council, and I represented my house to the IFC.  In addition, I was  the Chairman of two political organizations on campus, and I served on the state board for both of those organizations also.  I was president of a statewide PAC also.  In addition, I was elected to a county position in 1998 during college.  Moreover, I was elected to the Order of Omega, a national honor society for Greeks before graduating.  I was also on the Dean's Honor List.
 
    I have diverse work experience as well.  Currently, I work as a Medical Specialist for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals representing the biologic, Dupixent in the pulmonology space.  As a Medical Specialist, I help health care providers and their staff identify patients with Type 2 asthma who can benefit from biologic therapy as well as educate on Type 2 disease and the biologic.  

    Prior to Regeneron, I worked as an Executive Respiratory Business Specialist for Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals.  As a specialty pharmaceutical representative, I had educational discussions regarding the respiratory portfolio of medications for Boehringer-Ingelheim with health care providers in my territory.  A multiple national award winner for sales performance at Boehringer-Ingelheim, I was promoted to an Executive level representative in 2019.  I have launched two products at BIPI including the blockbuster SGLT inhibitor, Jardiance, and the first oral anticoagulant, Pradaxa.  I was working with Inventiv Health for my current company through a strategic partnership they had for about two years before I was offered a position with BIPI directly. 

    Prior to that position, I was working at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals for five years representing respiratory and anti-infective products.  I represented Nasonex, Clarinex, Avelox, Proventil HFA, and Asmanex at Schering-Plough.

    My first job out of college was as an Outside Account Executive for a medium sized telecommunications company in the Bay Area.  I closed the largest deal in our partner company's history in June of 2002, and I exceeded my sales quota my first year in outside sales by 24%.  

    I have also worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Burson-Marsteller Public Relations, Inc., and the Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Agency.  Moreover, I have lots of volunteer experience as well including managing a local political campaign..
