The Rangers beat the A's that day in Surprise, AZ.  It is always a great day when we beat the lowest of the low Oakland A's!  I hate Oakland so bad!

I tried out the Hilton Digital Key option on this trip for the Hilton Phoenix Airport.  My digital key gave me access to both rooms we had booked as well as the Executive Lounge since I am a HHonors Diamond member.

We had a great seafood dinner on the first night in Phoenix at Pappadeaux Cajun Seafood restaurant in North Phoenix.  My shrimp topped fish was delicious!

I am enjoying some snacks in the Hilton Executive Lounge the next day prior to our 2nd game of this trip.

We saw the Cubs play the A's at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, AZ the 2nd day.  Former Rangers Pitcher Yu Darvish pitched for the Cubs that day.

My buddies Edgar and Bob are pictured here with me at the Cubs-A's game in Mesa.  Someone needs to tell them to take off that A's gear and join a winning team's bandwagon.  LOL.

We had dinner at Houston's in Scottsdale on the 2nd night.  They have a printed dress code for guests.

I headed out to Phoenix in March for my annual trip to go see my Texas Rangers at Spring Training for the Cactus League.  Two of my buddies went down with me from Sacramento, and I had a friend from San Diego meet me in Phoenix.  We got in too late to do anything on the first night so we just chilled at the hotel.  The next morning, we headed out to Surprise, AZ for the first game.   My buddies want to get some pizza and wings at a famous Phoenix chain called Oregano's.  Afterwards, we saw my Rangers beat the lowly A's.  That evening, we had a nice dinner at a cajun seafood restaurant in North Phoenix before calling it a night.  We are getting old!  In the past, we would have gone out to ASU and partied with the college kids.  LOL.

The next day, we went to the Cubs at A's game in Mesa.  I was able to see former Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish pitch for a few innings.  I rooted for the Cubbies since I hate the A's so bad!  We ended up having a good dinner at Houston's in Scottsdale that night.  They have a strict dress code.  We checked out some bars in the Scottsdale area after dinner.

On Monday, we saw the Rangers take on the Indians at the Indians ballpark in Goodyear.  I got there early to watch the warmups.  It was so cool watching the pitchers warm up up close.  The weather was great too.  We got club seats where a waitress brought us our food and drink also.  Afterwards, we had dinner at Cracker Barrel before getting a snack at Tilted Kilt in downtown Phoenix.  Our flight back to Sacramento was that night.
