Rangers @ Padres (4th of July 2025)

For the 4th of July in 2025, I took my mom to her first baseball game. My Rangers played the Padres in San Diego so we flew down there.

This is the Padre's Hall of Fame at Petco Park.

We got Mister Softee ice cream before the game. My mom wanted to get that helmet for Aakash, and I was OK with it since the Padres are in the NL so my nephew can be a Rangers fan while still having a Padres mini helmet.

There were so many people at the game. Here is a view of downtown San Diego from inside Petco Park.

They are introducing the Rangers line up here before the game. Notice the Jack In The Box character on the pole. They are based in San Diego.

Our seats were up high up there, but it was a sold out game since it was a holiday. We ended up losing that game however :(

I took my mom to dinner at a great place called Lionfish after the game. This place is in the Gas Lamp Quarter near Petco.

I took my mom down to San Diego for the 4th of July weekend so we could watch the Rangers play the Padres. She had not been to a baseball game before so I figured she would enjoy it. I tried to get us the best possible shaded seats, but the game was sold out due to it being the 4th of July so I had to go to the reseller app to get tickets. Our seats were decent however, and San Diego usually does not get that hot anyway. It was actually a little chilly by the end of the game also. We went to the Padres Hall of Fame when we got into Petco Park. Then, we enjoyed some Mister Softee ice cream before going to our seats. Kumar Rocker was on the mound again for us. I told my mother how Rocker was half Indian also. The Rangers ended up losing however by a score of 3 to 2.
