The Living Room

My living room features top grain leather furniture. The sofa set is 100% top grain Italian leather, and it looks and smells awesome! It is also very soft leather. I have the sofa, loveseat, and chair. I have glass metal tables to complement the leather, and the lamps match really well with the tables. Of course, I have a wide variety of magazines for my reading pleasure including Giant, Stuff, Maxim, Tennis, Skiing, GamePro, and Sporting News. I also have a copy of Newt Gingrich's book, To Renew America, on my coffee table along with some scented candles. On the side tables, I have elephant statues from India. I also have a brass vase from India. In the background, you can see one of the Bose surround speakers, which is a part of the Bose 5.1 Home Theatre Speakers I have in the living room.

OK, here is the important stuff. I am sure you are wondering what kind of home theatre I have. It starts out with a 32 inch HDTV that has a flat screen. I have digital cable with HBO and Starz. My huge DVD collection is also displayed here. What kind of movies do I own? There are so many, but here is a partial listing - American Pie 1 and 2, American Wedding, Basic Instinct, all three Austin Powers, The Thomas Crown Affair, etc. I also have a nice elephant plaque above the TV from Bombay Company. I am a Republican so I must represent.

Here is the stuff you wanted to see now. I have a 5 disc DVD changer and a receiver that has both Dolby Digital and DTS. I also have a Hi-Fi VCR and Xbox System. The Bose speakers are really awesome. Comcast Digital Cable in Vacaville features On Demand so I can watch shows and movies when I want. HBO has most of their series on demand including Rome & Curb Your Enthiusim. You can also that the carpet is brand new. I insisted that I get new carpet before I signed my lease.

You have seen a lot of Asian art work, but you are probably wondering where does the wine country come into the mix. Well, it is mostly in the dining room and kitchen, but it starts here with this nice painting from Bombay Company. I also have a whole library of Xbox games including Halo, Dead Or Alive 3, GTA III, GTA Vice City, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Crimson Skies, & much more!

I also have a limited edition autographed lithograph of Cowboys WR Michael Irvin. I feel Irvin is the greatest WR of all time. Jerry who? I hate the 49ers even though I live in Whiner Country. The lithograph is signed by Michael Irvin and the artist. They only made 270 of these prints, and mine is 240 out of 270. This lithograph costs quite a bit!, but it should go up in price even more when Irvin joins the greatest QB of all time, Troy Aikman, in the Hall of Fame along with RB Emmitt Smith.

Here is another vista point of the living room from the dining/kitchen area. The color scheme comes together really well. I like a lot of black, bieges, and neutral colors. I am also a big fan of cherry finish for wood. A ceiling fan is standard in the apartment also. Behind the vertical blinds are the sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony. The balcony is huge, and there is an outdoor storage area too. I am on the 2nd floor so I do not have to worry about people trying to get into the storage room.
